Understanding by ear
They recognize it on the worksheet, but get lost when someone speaks to them.
English for elementary school kids · Online 1:1
Live, one-to-one English classes for elementary school children. Unique interactive activities that are fun and built by the teacher around your child.
Let's start with your child
It's rarely that your child doesn't know English. It's that nobody has had them use it out loud. The class is built around that.
They recognize it on the worksheet, but get lost when someone speaks to them.
They know the written word but don't dare say it out loud.
They answer with one word and wait for the next question.
They fill in the grammar worksheet, but can't introduce themselves or ask for something.
That's why the first class is the best place to start.
Free access
The activities I use in class are open in LingSpeak Play. Go in with your child, try them together and decide afterwards whether you want a class.
Audio with real English, at the pace people actually speak.
The English sounds that don't exist in Spanish.
Everyday situations to practice out loud.
Words inside the scene where they're used.
Nothing to pay. Nothing to book.
Methodology
Three things always happen, starting with the free first class.
I listen to how their English sounds when they use it: what they understand by ear, what they dare to say and what they're missing to finish the idea. It isn't a test, it's a conversation. Their plan comes out of it.
Their games, their videos, their family, what they did at the weekend: that's where the conversations they care about are, and that's why they talk. School topics come in when needed, and improve as a result.
Every session opens and closes with you: what we worked on, what your child said in English today and what's worth practicing at home this week. No waiting for the report card to find out.
No cost
No surprises: you're there at the start and the end; in between, your child works with me.

Hi, I'm Marco Arias, a Peruvian linguist and language teacher. I work with a communicative approach: for children, that means they speak and listen to English in every class, rather than filling in grammar worksheets. I build my own activities and use AI-assisted programming to prepare material for each child's level, interests and way of learning.

Family experiences
What families value most about English support for their children.
“My daughter understood the theory at school, but struggled to take part. With guided practice she started answering with more confidence and using English without being so afraid of mistakes.”
Lucía Carpio“I was looking for support that wasn't just repeating worksheets. The classes connect what my son sees at school with conversations and activities he really understands and enjoys.”
Daniela Puma“I appreciate that Marco moves at my son's pace and explains what they're reinforcing. Now he does his homework with less frustration and speaks up in class.”

Only at the start and the end. For the first few minutes you and I talk, then your child works with me, and we finish with a summary for you. If your child is very young or finds it hard to connect alone, you can stay as long as they need.
Yes, although it isn't the starting point. When a child understands and speaks English, the school course stops being a problem: grades improve as a result. And if there's a test coming up or a topic they didn't get, we cover it in class without losing the communicative focus.
By switching activities several times: listening, speaking, playing, acting out a situation. The activities are interactive and I prepare them around what interests your child, so the time goes into using English, not listening to me explain.
A computer or tablet with a camera and a stable internet connection, ideally with headphones. Classes are on Google Meet: I send you the link before each session and there's nothing to install.
Times are flexible, including afternoons and weekends, so they don't clash with school or other activities. Prices for single classes and packages are on the pricing page.
A full session to hear your child's English and see what can be strengthened. You get the assessment at the end and you decide. No card needed.
